Happy 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July. What's not to love? Beautiful weather, lots of food and drinks with the added bonus of fireworks. Now that's a holiday!

We have been going to Greenfield Village's Salute to America for the past few years and it has quickly become one of my favorite traditions. We went last night and other than the soggy grass and the chilly air we had a great time. Greenfield Village and the DSO really do a fantastic job with this event. The Detroit Symphony Orchestra plays a concert before and during the fireworks. They also have plenty of people dressed in 19th century clothing walking around the village. It is a really cool experience. If you have never been, you definitely should check it out. Here are a couple pics from last nights fireworks.
