As I mentioned in my last post I have been totally neglecting my blog, so now I am making up for lost time.
I was able to see my adorable niece Riley two weekends in a row. She is so adorable but I have to say she can be a bit stingy with the smiles, even with me. Just a little background, my sister Kerry(Riley's mom) and I are twins. I assumed that naturally since we look similar and our voices are similar that Riley would be all smiles for me all the time. It worked for Kerry and my kids. I could not be more wrong, but then I figured it out. You see for Riley I don't look anything like my sister because my sister doesn't have a big camera in front of her face that occasionally has this annoying blinding light on it. Is there any wonder that the poor girl looks at me with contempt? I have become her exclusive paparazzo. Every time she sees me I am photographing her. I finally had my Eurkea! moment, which I realize for most people would have happened months ago. I realized that I need to put my camera down. This is not an easy task around her adorable face.
So, now Riley does indeed smile at me. She also likes to try to grab my hair (she is still too little for me to tell her that we don't touch Auntie's hair.:)). Check out some of my favorites from our sessions. A special shout out to Grandma who kept Riley amused during our session, so she wouldn't shun her crazy aunt with "that" camera.
