Katie & NIck : Wedding

Katie and Nick did something that I love..love..love and that was that they saw each other before the ceremony. In fact, I was ecstatic when I mentioned it to Katie and she said "Oh yeah, we are totally seeing each other before." Trust me, I am all about tradition but since weddings are so much later in the day than they used to be it means there is a lot less time to photograph my lovely couples.

As was every Saturday this past October, it was cold on Katie and Nick's wedding day and we had to scrub our initial plans to meet at an outdoor location when it started to rain. We met up at Burton Manor the site of their lovely reception. I found Nick inside and I was so excited to be there to capture Katie and Nick's first look. It was really sweet. After all of the photos were complete we all left for the ceremony. Katie and Nick were married at St. Robert Bellarmine in Redford. They had a wonderful wedding day filled with some really nice personal touches including Katie's sister performing a Hawaiian wedding dance for the newlyweds.
