Bridal Show Tips

'Tis the season, for bridal shows that is. I thought that I would offer some tips on making the most out of your bridal show experience.

1) Ditch the coat. I know it's winter but you will thank me. You will be walking around a lot and it gets hot quickly Also, you will get tired of carrying your coat along with every thing else you will be given.

2) Print address labels with your name, wedding date, address, phone and e-mail. There are some great giveaways at bridal shows and you will save a ton of time on filling out entry forms by using these printed labels.

3) Plan ahead. It's important to have a plan of attack and know which services you need. This will save you time, so you are not wasting time looking at something you don't need. The great thing about bridals shows is that they give you everything you need all in one place, but it can be overwhelming.

4) Bring your calendar, planner, smart phone or PDA so you can schedule consultations with vendors. Also, bring a notebook and pen in case you want to jot notes down about specific vendors. It's impossible to remember who told you what after talking to a bunch of vendors.

5) Wear comfortable shoes. You will be walking around a lot.

6) Relax and have fun! Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but it is also a lot of fun if you keep things in perspective.

Just a reminder...we will be at the Bridal Expo this weekend(January 16-17) at the Rock Financial Showplace. Be sure to stop by and say hi.
