[KMS] Family Portraits

I love fall portraits!   I met up with Samantha and family at Ford Field in Dearborn for their portrait session.   The weather was beautiful and I had a blast running around the park photographing the kids.   Check out some of my favorites from my session with this super cute family.

Owen and Ashton: Portraits

I absolutely love lifestyle portrait sessions with kids and last week I had the pleasure of photographing Owen and his little brother Ashton at Greenfield Village.   I had so much fun with these two boys and just trying to capture the energy and personalities.  Check out the slideshow of some my favorites from their session.

Lilyanne @ 9 Months

I am telling you this little girl can model.   She just kept moving around and looking at the camera at the precise moment that I hit the shutter it was amazing.   The only thing we had to do is make sure that she didn't crawl off the set, but other than just setting her back down I didn't have to direct her one bit.   She's a natural and super cute!

Gus @ 2 Weeks

I have known Cathy since we were in high school, so I was so honored to have the opportunity to photograph her newborn son Gus while they are in Michigan.   Gus is just perfect and as with most newborns, he excels at sleeping and eating both of which he did during our session.   I have to say my favorite images of Gus are the ones if him sleeping.  He looks adorable.   Check out the slideshow below for some of my favorites/

Matthew

I did a session with Matthew last week.   He is such a sweet and funny kid.   He is sure to break some hearts when he gets older. Just look at those eyes!

Gianna

I had a portrait session with Gianna on Friday and we had a ball. She was such a great "model". Honestly she was perfect. She clearly likes to be photographed. Although, I will say that like all "models" Gianna had her demands. Her number one demand was to get rid of the ants. It was so cute, even if there were none around, she would give me a stick and ask me to make sure there were no ants before she sat down. So, I would make some sweeping motions with my hand which she thought were hysterical and then sit down. Thank you so much Gianna, you were awesome! Jake

Here are shots of my nephew Jake. He was a little reluctant to have me take his picture, but he proved to be a great model none the less. Thanks Jake!

Allison

On Saturday, we celebrated Mother's Day at my parents house. I had my camera with me(of course), so I decided to seize the opportunity and take some portraits of my beautiful niece. The location was gorgeous, the weather was great and my model was perfect, what else could you ask for? Check out the pics below.

I also did some shots of my nephew, Jake which I will post in a few days.

Family Portrait

I had the great pleasure of photographing Alan, Kari, Brooke, Amy and Ella this afternoon. You couldn't have asked for nicer weather for November and we were able to capture some great outdoor portraits.

Kamryn and Cole

I had the great fortune to photograph Kamryn and Cole for a portrait session yesterday. We shot yesterday morning and while it was sunny for most of our session it was only 45 degrees. Brrrr! They were really excellent subjects despite how cold it was. We photographed at Greenfield Village which is an absolute dream location for an outdoor photo shoot. We had a good time walking around and exploring. I let them kind of guide us through and decide where they wanted to take some of the pictures. I think that it made for a better experience for them. For those of you not from the Detroit Metro Area, Greenfield Village is like a giant outdoor museum created by Henry Ford. It is set up like an early American village and has probably 75 old homes and buildings that were moved from their original locations and brought to Dearborn, MI and restored. The people who work their are dressed in period costumes and they even have a working farm. It is just a really cool place to go and experience early American life. If you have never been there it is a must see attraction if you are in Detroit.
