[KMS] Wedding: Teresa & Eric

 

Teresa & Eric were surrounded by family and friends for their beautiful wedding at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.  The day turned out to be beautiful and sunny, albeit a little bit chilly but that did not deter this beautiful couple from making the most of the location.  

After the wedding, Teresa and Eric with family and friends headed over to the Cadieux Cafe for feather bowling.  Feather bowling, for those who have not heard of this is a bit like bocce but involves a feather and these cheese wheel looking stones rolled down a dirt alley.

Bridal Show Tips

'Tis the season for bridal shows.  Since we have exhibited at quite a few bridal shows and attended them when we were getting married, we thought we would give some advice to hopefully make your bridal show experience more enjoyable and productive.

1) Pre-Register
Bridal shows will normally let you pre-register for their events online.  The process is fast and easy and will save you the time of filling out the registration form at the door.

2) Have a Plan
Know what services you are looking for.  Bridal shows can become overwhelming very quickly without a plan.  It helps to know what vendors will be there and have a list of questions ready.

3)  Labels
Print out address labels with your names, address, phone number, e-mail address and wedding date.  Vendors are always having drawings and giveaways at bridal show that you will need to fill out an entry form for.  This tip will save a you a ton of time and a cramp in your hand.


4) Bring a notebook, a pen & a calendar
You can jot down notes and information on vendors that you like.   You can easily schedule meetings with vendors if you have your calendar with you.


5) Know your budget
It is important to know who is paying for what and what your budget is.  Talking to vendors will also let you know whether your budget is realistic for what you are looking for.

6) Bring a digital camera or camera phone
If you like something make sure you snap a picture of it for your wedding inspiration board.  This insures that you won't forget it or where you saw it.


7) Wear comfortable shoes
You will be walking around and standing more than you thought you would so make sure you wear comfortable shoes for walking.


8) Have fun!
Bring a friend and make a day of it.  Planning a wedding can be very overwhelming but it doesn't have to be with the right attitude and a little preparation.

Erin & Mike : Wedding

I really do love my clients, but there are some couples that become your favorites.  Come on, it's true you always have favorites(except when you have kids ;)).  Erin & Mike definitely fall into my favorites category.   It's not only that they are a gorgeous couple but they are two of the nicest people that you will ever meet.  They are no doubt a perfect match for each other.   I am incredibly honored to have been a part of their wedding day.    Congratulations Erin & Mike!!!

Pam & Tim's Wedding

Pam and Tim’s wedding was last weekend and I had a fantastic time (I really did). They are such a cute couple and so much fun to be around. I am truly honored that they let me capture their day.

I have to say that you two did an awesome job planning your wedding. I was amazed out how much thought you put into every eco-friendly detail. Well Done!

Elise and Jon

A beautiful couple and a beautiful day, what more could anyone ask for? I didn't mention that Elise and Jon are two of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. They were both so sweet and so much in love, they really were a dream couple to photograph.

Great Bridal Expo!

Thank you to all the brides, grooms and their supporters who came out and braved the frigid temperatures to see us at the Bridal Expo at the Rock Financial Showplace this weekend. It was a fabulous show; we had a great time meeting and speaking to all of you. I am excited to discuss the details of your wedding and I am looking forward to our appointments.

Bridal Expo - January 19-20
