Greenfield Village : Civil War Remembrance

Happy Memorial Day!  I spent a few hours this morning at Greenfield Village checking out their Memorial Day weekend Civil War Remembrance.   The assignment I gave myself was to capture portraits of the people participating in the civil war reenactment.  These were quick portrait and I did not direct the subjects.  Check out some of my favorites.

Fireworks

Last week I read about a technique for creating firework images that looked like undersea creatures.  I had the opportunity to try it last week at the Henry Ford's Salute to America.  I think the resulting images are pretty cool.  I can't wait until next year to try it again.  I will post the link to the article once I can figure out where I read it.

[KMS] Family Portraits

Kristen booked her family session at the beginning of September in hopes of catching the fall colors in October.    She really could not have picked a better weekend, the weather was gorgeous albeit a little bit warm for sweaters.   We photographed at the always gorgeous Greenfield Village.

I am incredibly honored for the opportunity to photograph and document Kristen, Brad and their two adorable sons.

Kristen is almost family, we share a niece & nephew in common so it was fun to be able to photograph the 4 of them together.
