[KMS] Seniors: Rebecca

I loved photographing Rebecca's Senior Session at the DIA.  There are always challenges to photographing in the DIA.  One challenge is that you can't bring any camera bags, flashes or light modifiers in the museum.  You're also limited in the areas that you can photograph in.  I completely understand and agree with their rules, because they have to protect the art.  So, it was basically me, my camera, my assistant Kelly, Rebecca and her mom.  It luckily was a fairly overcast day, meaning I didn't have to worry about pockets of light and darkness or too much direct sunlight.  Check out some of my favorites from that day.

[KMS] Seniors : Cameron

We photographed Cameron's Senior Session  on Belle Isle in Detroit a few weeks ago.  Cameron and his family love to go to Belle Isle on the weekends and he really wanted his senior portraits to be photographed there.  We met at the studio first to photograph his senior yearbook portrait and then we drove downtown.  Our only real hiccup was the weather.  There was a storm rolling and it was really windy since Belle Isle sits in the middle of the Detroit River and we had to race against the rain to get his session in.  Despite a little bit of rain(thank goodness for weather sealing of professional cameras) we got some awesome portraits of Cameron.

[KMS] Seniors : Christian

Christian's had a great Senior Session at DIA.  Christian is a theater guy and he really wanted to photograph at Michigan Theater, which was converted into a parking garage years ago.  It was one of the sets used in 8 Mile.  Anyway, we unfortunately couldn't make it work, so his second choice was the DIA.  The architecture makes the DIA a really interesting place to photograph.  I was pretty happy with his 2nd choice.
