[KMS] Seniors : Nathan

Nathan is really into robotics.  He competes on a high school robotics team and he wanted his senior portraits to document this part of his life.  After we photographed his yearbook portrait we headed to the "lab" his robotics team uses to construct their robots.  We definitely had some challenges with space since it's a working "lab".  We made it work and created some unique senior portraits that really showed what Nathan is into.

 I had the opportunity to photograph Zach's Senior Session earlier this month.  He chose an urban setting for his senior portraits and he did a great job in front of the camera.

Michael was amazing for his city themed Senior Session.  He was so easy to work with and as you can see from his senior portraits he's a pretty good model.

Honestly, I am never sure of the attitude I may get when I photograph a guy's senior portraits.  Admittedly, most guys are just doing this for their mom, so it's my job to make sure that the session is loose and relaxed.  In this environment it gives guys space and a chance to warm up to the process.  This was the case with Max's Senior Session.  He went into his session not sure he wanted to do it at all and when it was over he loved it. 

Max's is an avid skater, so that was big part of the session and we were able to create some really kick a** portraits.  I love sessions like this that allow me to flex my creativity.  This is probably my favorite Senior Session of the year, that's why I have so many favorites in this post.

[KMS] Seniors : Dominic

One of things that makes a [KMS] Senior Portrait unique, is our unrelenting goal to capture our client's personality and style.  So, what does that exactly mean?  Let's use Dominic's Senior Session as an example.  Dominic comes in with this awesome skater haircut and style.  After talking to him and assessing what he's wearing I have a vision for his Senior Session.  I know that taking him into the woods and photographing him there, is not true to his personality or style.  I am creating senior portraits for my clients that capture their energy and spirit.  I want their family to look at the portraits and say "Wow, you really captured them".  That's the goal.
