When I started Project 365 120 days ago I was afraid that it would become a burden, that I would find it difficult to find time to create images. To my relief it has not become a burden and I am as excited about this project now as I was when it began. The greatest thing is that the goal for Project 365 was to allow me to see the world through photography again and I have achieved that goal. I have found a renewed appreciation for the quality of light and in the details of seemingly the most mundane objects. Those are the details that make life interesting and I love to capture those moments.
Today was one of those days where inspiration would seemingly be hard to come by. A rainy, dreary and cool fall day. I knew from this morning that I wanted to somehow capture rain drops and I had spent sometime studying the raindrops on the window in my car but I just wasn't inspired. I came home and took some pictures of the rain on the windows. I think that raindrops can sometimes have a nice graphic quality to them. I thought I had captured my image but then we left to pick up my son from daycare and I saw a leaf on the driver's side window and I knew I had to shoot it. I ran back inside to get my camera (a rare moment that I didn't have it with me) and I captured a dozen images. This was one of those moments that I truly appreciate because we so often rush through our lives and don't notice those small details that create beauty in our lives.
