Something about cobbler's shoes

[KMS] Photography : Children's Portrait Photographer

What is that quote again about the cobbler's children not having shoes?   My kids are by far my favorite subjects, so it's not to say that I don't ever take a portrait of them.  I think that if you asked them they would tell you that I was constantly photographing them.  Like most families we struggle to find time for portraits.  Obviously I have an advantage because I'm a photographer and I have to schedule it with myself.  Even with that being said it's been far too long since we had a good on location portrait session.  So, today the second to last day before school starts, I finally found the time for a portrait session of my kids.  I essentially approach their session like every other portrait session and so my main goal is to capture their personalities, which I think are pretty much awesome.   These images totally capture my daughter's seriousness and my son's humor.  Here are just a few of my favorites...

This image sums up my son.
He almost can't be serious
