One of the coolest things about being a photographer is the diversity of photo shoots. Last week right after photographing Jacob's portrait session, I got in my car and headed downtown to photograph the new Port Detroit Terminal & Public Dock. The coolest thing about this shoot was that the Port Detroit had to be photographed from the Detroit River, so I had the rare opportunity to take a ride on the J.W. Wescott. The Wescott has been serving boats on the Detroit River since 1874, they provide among other things, US Mail Service to boats passing through the Port of Detroit on the Detroit River, 24/7 365 days a year. The Wescott is the only USPS Mail boat in the world.
A big thank you Bill our Wescott Pilot who graciously took us out last week and another big thank you to Tim for coordinating the trip.
