I love this time of year! I love the idea of fresh starts. I have spent the last couple of days setting goals for myself and [KMS] for 2012. I always set goals for myself, but I admit that I set my goals and then they get tucked away in a drawer not to be seen again until the following year. This year I took a different approach to setting my goals, I bought a book called Your Best Year Yet by Jinny Ditlzer. It was recommended by the awesome Colleen Wainwright. I can't remember if it I read about it on her blog or her newsletter, but I highly recommend subscribing to Colleen's blog and newsletter, she's always got some really great stuff in there. Any who, the book is basically goal setting on steroids. It asks you 10 questions which require you to take a long and sometimes painful look at your last year. The process took me about 5 hours but it wasn't really difficult, just very thought provoking. It's pretty cool because your focus and goals become abundantly clear as you are answering the questions. I loved the whole process and I am really excited to have started the year this way. In fact, I have already completed one of my goals for the year. I am not one to share my goals with the entire world but this year they won't be hiding in a drawer waiting for 2013.
